About Joe and Kath

We are Kathy Zajac and Joe Larson. In 1975, while living in California, we began learning the art of stained glass. We had just bought land in Kentucky and all we wanted was to put a few stained glass windows in the house we were going to build. Neighbors who saw our work were soon asking for their own custom made windows and in 1981 a small business was born.

Since that time we have built windows for homes, churches, and businesses all across the country

Art Shows

In addition to custom made creations for homes and churches, we do a number of individual one of a kind art works which we have exhibited at the St. James Art Show and Ursuline Campus Art Fair in Louisville, KY; Keeneland Christmas Show in Lexington, KY; Penrod art show in Indianapolis, IN., and craft shows in Nashville, TN. and Ft. Myers, FL. You can view some of these on our Products pages.

And this year we will be at The Ohio Designer Craftsman Winterfair in Cincinnatti

Training

In order to keep updated with current trends in glasswork, we often attend workshops to learn new creative techniques. These have included design classes with Narcissus Quagliata; glass painting classes with Dan Fenton and Newy Fagan; pate de verre with Renee Culler; and micro-mosaics with Kathleen Sheard.
