What's Art Glass?

Well, when we first started, we only made custom Stained Glass Windows and Panels and Suncatchers . As time went on, we got into other decorative glass processes like Fused Glass and Painted Glass and Beveled Glass. We also do Sandblasting and...well, the term "Stained Glass" just no longer fit. So we changed our name to Home Studio Art Glass.

Since 1981...

...when we first started selling Stained Glass, we've installed our custom made Stained Glass Windows throughout kentucky and states as far away as Florida and California.

Church Windows

Several churches in our area have commissioned us to build Stained Glass Church Windows for them. Some of these have included handpainted and fired images.

Fused Glass

Some of the most exciting things happening in Art Glass today are coming out of a kiln. Fusing and slumping has added a whole new direction to our work. Take a look at some of our Fused Glass art.

Weblog

I've started a blog where I hope to talk a little bit about the processes and techniques involved in doing glass art. It's not much right now, I don't have the time I'd like to devote to it, but I hope to make it a place to discuss glass with anyone who'd like to contribute. Your comments are welcome.

Art

We do a lot of work that is designed to be hung in a window or displayed as an independent work of art. These can range from simple Beveled Glass Suncatchers to large Stained Glass Panels.

Our Latest Commission

As a wedding gift for his daughter who lives in Washington state, our friend Theo commissioned these 2 swans on Reflection lake in front of Mt Rainier. We even included the state wild flower - Red Maids.

A window for the old Victorian home of artist Lyall Harris in San Francisco. "The pictures cannot describe how beautiful your window is, how well it fits our house, and how it strikes the perfect tone for who we are. I really don't know how you did it--with all these miles between us and having never met us--but your intuition about color and how you arranged them could not have been better. Your window brings us joy every day"
